Remarks:
*1 The conversion ratio is referred to GRI Sustainability Reporting Guidelines Version 3.0.
*2 Includes both Electricity and Gasoline Consumption (i.e. scope 1 and scope 2 emissions only); excludes CO2 emissions from logistics management activities carried out by on-site contractors, refrigeration, air-conditioning and fire extinguishers. CO2 is the main Greenhouse Gas emission in Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong). The calculation was based on the “Guidelines to Account for and Report on Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Removals for Buildings (Commercial, Residential or Institutional Purposes) in Hong Kong” issued by the Environmental Protection Department and the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (2010 Edition).
*3 Paper consumption is recorded within the scope of our document management system rather than in internal order. For item 10, the Recycled Paper/ Environmental Paper Consumption includes A3, A4 and A5 paper.
*4 Consumption in our main Hong Kong Island office is only an estimate as the amount of water consumed is included in the building management fee.
*5 Per the report verifier’s advice in August 2018, we have included paper recycling into the data of Other Indirect CO2 Emission. Hence, the calculation from FY2015 to FY2017 has been revised by combining the total of (1) CO2 Emission on Disposal of Paper Waste (i.e. Amount of Paper Consumption minus Amount of Paper Recycled) and (2) CO2 Emission on Total Water Discharges (i.e. CO2 Emission due to Electricity Used for Fresh Water Processing by Water Supplies Department plus CO2 Emission due to Electricity Used for Sewage Processing by Drainage Services Department).
*6 Includes Macau office data from November 2013 onwards. The data was recorded directly by our colleagues or provided by our property management company and/or recycler.
*7 Chemical waste excludes amount generated by activities of off-site contractors.
*8Includes all permanent and contract staff.
*9 “Local” employees are those whose employment terms and conditions meet the labor requirements of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and Macao Special Administrative Region.
*10 The calculation of accident rate per 1,000 workers is referenced to the definition of Labour Department of HKSAR.
*11 From 2014 report onwards, all relevant self-learning data are included. The drop of total training hours in FY2016 is due to the apply of new data capture methodology with revamped e-learning platform.
*12 The further drop in staff training cost in FY2017 is due to increased training activities conducted by competent internal trainers and more e-leaning is adopted.
*13 All new staff members joining Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) are required to complete the “Code of Conduct” learning three months after initially starting work. In the case of current staff, regular reviews and/or training will be carried out and per review of scope and content annually.
*14 The drop of Volunteering Hours in FY2017 is due to the clash of several key activities.
*15 The consolidated results in terms of Year-On-Year Growth Rate (%) from Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong)’s income statement includes relevant data from the Printer Channel Operation since 2013.
*16 Includes end-of-life management costs only. Due to the past success in managing the environmental expenditure, we can manage to sustain 0% growth on this expense in FY2017.
